After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2001 with degrees in Business Administration and Mathematics, I took a position with a local tax firm in Lincoln, NE and discovered one of my marketplace passions: tax preparation. After countless exams that enabled me to sell investment and insurance products I discovered my second marketplace passion was not selling investments and insurance products! I found more joy in teaching people about simple, common-sense financial principles than I did in selling products. It was in this discovery that I stumbled across my second marketplace passion: personal financial coaching. These two passions, financial coaching and tax preparation, led me to start FFPT, Inc. in the fall of 2004.
I am now living my dream of teaching people how to avoid the broke world of normal and to handle their finances contrary to the world’s practices and perspectives.
When I’m not in the office I am enjoying time with my lovely wife Danielle and our five children, Evan (7), Levi (5), Mia (3), Kate (1), plus one on the way who keep their mom busy working at home. We also enjoy using our gifts and passions to serve the members at First Street Bible Church in Lincoln.
